This is a discussion group for owners and users of Sony APR-5000-series (5001, 5002, 5003V) analog audio reel-to-reel tape recorders and APR-24 2-inch 24-track recorders. The listmom ended up with the only APR-16 ever made (1-inch 16 track) so we'll discuss that too from time to time.

As of October 2004, (pending any major objections) we've decided to allow this to be the place for help on the MCI series of professional audio recorders. We'll see how it goes. If that traffic gets too intense, we may consider splitting off a separate list. Three of the ex-Sony factory people have MCI JH-### experience and they have indicated a willingness to help where they can.

We anticipate a low-volume list. This is only for discussing Sony recorders of these series at this time.
