Welcome to the Soling 1 Meter Class message board. Please use this forum to exchange your ideas, tips and tricks for building, sailing and racing the S1M model yacht.

The S1M kit is a radio-controlled version of the famous Soling racing yacht. The American Model Yachting Association has designated the S1M as a "One Design Class" radio controlled racing sailboat. The S1M has the largest number of registered boats within the AMYA racing class system.

I use sticky back sail repair tape you can selecet your desired colour of repair sail tape to make your letters and numbers Generate the templates for numbers

I used clear Design Master floral spray to seal the sail fabric and then put the numbers on with a  Sharpie Industrial marker.  I bought a set of 3" number

Rudder angle
I just bought this boat third hand (my first Soling) and it had been set up with the pushrod in the last hole in the rudder horn. I only had my MM to compare
