"SDR" stands for Software Defined Radio.  This means the the detection and modulation is done in Software.  So the kit is built the same for SSB as for CW or for any of the digital modes.  The Softrock kit is simply a local oscillator and a mixer.  The other functions live inside the software.

peter:   first, you build it, testing as you go. use wb5rvz excellent website. you can test it with only a digital multimeter!   then, decide what pc sound...
