Okay, not really, but at least I got your attention! ;-) I learned an
interesting bit of info the other week, that I thought you might find
interesting, if your not aware of this already.
Normally, mere mortals (i.e.consumers) wash windows using Windex-like products.
The pros don't use Windex, they use regular dish washing liquid to wash windows!
I was quite surprised, when I was informed of this, so I checked on the web, and
sure enough, it is true.
Back story: The reason this came about is because at our office, we had a
ventilation issue recently. It just so happened that the carpet cleaners came in
that day (when the ventilation wasn't working), and they used some heavy duty
carpet cleaners that really was pretty irritating. We had to send everyone home
because of this.
A few days later, we were told that there was window cleaning scheduled for the
following week. We were worried about any ammonia based window washing liquids
being used, that might create irritating fumes again, so we inquired if this
would be a good idea, with the vents not working and all. That is when we were
informed that the window washers use dishwashing liquid.
P.S. So yes, in a way, window washers do use bubbles to clean windows! :-) I
have observed them now a few times, in other places as well, you can see the
army of bubbles (aka suds) attacking grime and dirt in their endless pursuit of
clean windows!
