RE: [so_mn_moms] Napping Poll

Mine nap quite consistently still but they just turned 3 on the 26th of September.  I’ve always been a nap sergeant and maybe they know that.  However, once in a while it does seem to take quite a long time to get them down.  They still going to bed around 8pm and get up around 6pm.  However, mine aren’t sleeping all night and that’s what’s wearing us all out.

I hope things are working themselves out and I sure don’t look forward to the day that my two don’t take their naps any more.

Subject: [so_mn_moms] Napping Poll

So, how many of you awesome MOMs out there had your almost 3 year olds seem as though they were ready to quit napping? Most of my friends tell me that theirs are either still napping, only nap a couple days a week, or they quit naps and instead go to bed earlier. My boys (one more so than the other) argue, bargin, stall, and anything in between when it comes to naptime. It can take an hour or longer to get them to sleep and several days it just doesn't happen. It has become the most dreaded, stressful part of the day. That being said, when they don't nap they get extremely tired, wired, etc. by about 4-5 pm. My thought is that they still need the nap and are just going through a "nap strike" and maybe it will get better. But I just don't know for sure!? Thoughts.....???

I had to put mine in separate rooms to get them to settle down and I would have said that one needed it more than the other. Once they were potty training it...
