Arrived in Los Barriles yesterday afternoon just in time for a 3 hour
session on the 9m. Perfect side shore condition with 3-4ft swell. Dan
got session on his 9m & Jen went out for 2 sessions on her 5m. On her
second session she was confronted by a school of Manta rays that were
jumping out of the water all around her. Manta rays were about 3' wide
and jumping about 5' out of water. Some of them appeared to be flying
temporarily.  It appeared that it was some sort of mating ritual that
they were preforming for her kite??? It was very bizarre and scared
the shit out of Jen.  We were able to get photos of the action, and
I'll post them when we get back.  Day 2 promises more wind but rest of
week looks mellow.  Nice to snowkite on Friday and kitesurf, in 85
degree / no wetsuit, on Sunday. I could get use to this;-)

Another amazing day on the 9m. Los Barrilles seems way nicer than LV,
unless LV has changed significantly since 2002.
The manta rays are called Mobius Mantas, today I had one jump in front
of me during my third and final session.
Session #2 ~2pm was super amazing 24-28mph.

I'm looking for a good beginner/intermediate lightwind board for this summer.  Any suggestions?  So far I've been looking at the Liquid Force WLF, Slingshot SX, and the Crazy Fly lightwind board.  Any help would be appreciated.
