St. Louis Area Pen Users is an informal club for those interested in writing instruments and related items. Whether your interest is in collecting or daily use; fountain pens, ballpoint, mechanical pencils, ink wells and bottles, we are the group for you.

We are a diverse group of enthusiasts who like to meet and share our interests and knowledge with others. Current members interests include, ink and ink bottles, calligraphy, contemporary and vintage writing instruments, famous brands as well as the obscure.

As Seen on TV and in newspapers:
On March 28, 2008, St. Louis's NBC affiliate (KSDK/5) aired a story on our Pen Users group, during it's local interest show "Show Me St. Louis". There was also newpaper coverage of the group during February; to read the stories and see the video, click on "Links" in the menu to the left on this page.

We meet quarterly, at Oak Bend Branch-St. Louis County Library, located one block east of the I-44/Big Bend intersection, 842 S. Holmes Avenue, Oakland, MO. See the group "Calendar" for upcoming meetings and a map link can be found in the "Links" menu as "Where is Oak Bend...".

The club is open to all interested parties and no dues are charged, though a voluntary contribution of $1/meeting (to defray the meeting room cost) is appreciated. Generally members will be from the St. Louis metropolitan area, central Missouri and southern Illinois.
