COASTAL BEND SKYPIRATES - an American Kitefliers Association affiliated kite fliers group located in the Texas Coastal Bend. We are dedicated to the education about, promotion and advancement of, safety in participating in, kite flying and all the various aspects of kite flying as a sport and hobby. Kite flyers from all around the Coastal Bend are welcome to join in this endeavor by joining us as we host several flying events each year, assisting to add kites to kids after-school program classes, schools, etc. and having group Monthly Fun Fly Picnics somewhere in the region on the second Sunday each month. This group site "mission" and purpose is for the distribution of information about the Skypirate's activities and events to all interested parties and members of the Coastal Bend Skypirates kite fliers group -- visit our photo albums to see a "history" of our events and kites.
