The real reason for this Group is to promote three events on Lake Charlevoix. First and most important is

" THE FIRST ANNUAL LAKE CHARLEVOIX LOCKLEY SKIMMER REGATTA".

Then "THE FIRST ANNUAL LAKE CHARLEVOIX RAMP TO RAMP 50 BOAT CRUISE".

We'll try for at least 50 boats, and go the 13 miles from the launching ramp in Boyne City to the launching ramp in Charlevoix, and back.

Then "THE FIRST ANNUAL LAKE CHARLEVOIX MOON LIGHT SAIL".

The main focus of this Group is the Skimmer and Michigan. However; If you have one of the other Ice Boats listed in the name of this group, or other small Ice Boats, we want you to call this site home as well. Come on in, Post Up and communicate with your fellow Ice Boat Sailors (or Pilots). Even if you do not as yet own an IceBoat, but you have the interest and want to know more, we want you here also. You are outside of Michigan? We all know that we have to travel to the ice, we want to know about you, harden up and sail in here.

Your profile: We ask that you at least list your first name, and some idea of where you live, and the e-mail address you would like used if someone wants to contact you. When you join the Group we ask that you set at least Special Notices, there will not be many, maybe about regattas and where the good ice is, that sort of thing.
