Many of you have been enquiring about the Phonic Kit Level 1. It is now available at Gangarams on MG Road, Bangalore. It is very effective with children between the age group of 3+ to 4+. Level 2 will be out in October – November 2009.
The Phonic Kit has also been used with great success with children who have learning difficulties, especially dyslexic children. For a student in the first standard the kit will have to be used for 6 months, a std. 2 child may finish it in 4 months, a std. 3 child may go through it in about 3 months.
The Phonic Kit focuses on holistic language development – sounds, word formation, reading, spelling and writing skills are interwoven to make language learning complete, meaningful and fun. Children pick up the language skills three times faster with the kit.
The Phonic Method lays the foundation for very sound reading skills which the learner will require later on to excel in all areas of academics. Research has shown the one of the major reasons for students performing poorly in academics is weak reading skills. The Phonic Method teaches students to de-code rather than memorize. Learners become very powerful readers and this in turn help them do well in all areas of academics.
I wish all of you and your young learners a wonderful time with the Phonic Kit.

Hi All,
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the above talk. It is about how community
volunteers can make a big difference to the lives of children in their
neighbourhood. It is a different take on 'tuitions'. Notice the impact that
it had on a nine-year old.

I don't know if i am posting it to the right address but i hope i will get answer for my queries.
I know a child who wants to study, but due to financial problem she could not continue her studies. She has finished her 7th standard and stopped her education. We stay at kormangala. Can you help me know,if this sikshana provides education for her for free?
I am not sure if she can afford the travelling charges also.so i would like to know if you have any branch in kormangala or nearby in case you can't provide any free transport. Also i would like to know if she can take the studies from home.As her parents are dependant on her.
In case, there is some money to be paid for any of these, please let me know the approximate cost.I will see if i can pay it from my budget.

hi all it is a long time since i had a chance to interact with many of u .. let me start this mail with a word of deep appreciation for all that u had done fr the pgm at a time when v were in dire need of support at the field level.. i cannot forget the days when v were working together in the most diff circumstances.. thanks to all that hard work, v r now growing at a good pace both in the city and kanakapura..v r looking at a major expansion of the pgm in the next step thru induction of 100 more schools during coming academic year .. the planning and resource mobilization are in advanced stages.. as all of us r aware, no pgm can succeed without dedicated persons to back it, which is where
persons like u come in - and make a difference .. at this difficult juncture, i am trying to take stock of the sitn and assess the resources - esp human - avl to us to back the pgm.. while v hv a clear picture of the scenario in kanakapura, the sitn in the city still looks very fuzzy .. i need ur help in redrawing the map based on realities. i know almost all of u hv a standing commitment to all that sikshana stands fr.. at the same time ur commitments elsewhere may not permit u to give ur time and attn to this rt now or for some more time into the future.. .. in this context, i request you to give me a feedback on the flg lines which will help us a lot in our planning process.. i need to know if:
u will be able to participate in sikshana rt now or in near - time frame
u may not be able to spare time fr now but hope to be back in medium/ long time frame
u dont expect to be back
in the foreseeable future though committed to the cause but wud like to be kept informed of the devpts
u wud like to counted out and also opt out of the mailing list as u dont see such an eventuality at all
i will really appreciate if u can take a minute of ur time and respond to this mail , taking it as a personal rq fm me, and indicate to which category u wud like to place urself in .. pl be assured that i will not take ur feedback personally ; hence u can be frank abt it .. u can also give me any other info or feedback that may help us not only to acquire but also retain valuable persons like in the future.. ur response cud be thru a personal email to me if u wish looking fwd to hearing fm u and with warm regards ramamurthy
