MISSION

Primarily to serve as a forum for the Sikh diaspora to preserve, enhance and share their cultural heritage and to encourage interaction with fellow Sikhs to advance and promote opinions and views on matters vital to Sikhs and Sikhism.

OBJECT

To recognize and understand that the Sikhs in their diaspora face continuing evolution and shaping of all aspects of their society as a result of influences exerted upon them by the cultural and racial diversity reflected in their adopted environment.

To encourage expression and discussion of issues and challenges facing the Sikhs in their adopted lands to equitably participate in mainstream life and assist them in the elimination of barriers to such participation.

To foster dissemination of information and ideas dealing with religious, social and economic matters among the Sikhs and in their interaction with communities of different origins.
To select and compile, from time to time, writings posted on the Sikh-Diaspora in a book form for distribution to libraries or prospective readers.

To condemn myths, bigotry, intemperance or discrimination associated with caste, creed, race, colour,gender orientation or physical handicap and to censure ethnic jokes and racial slurs.

To promote within the forum a sense of equality and mutual respect for one another.

To disallow use of the forum for propagating ideologies or missions of cults or clandestine groups which seek to subvert the Sikh faith.
