Saudi Arabia called for an independent investigation into ā€œclimategateā€ Monday, warning that the scandal over stolen emails threatened to undermine the global-warming negotiations beginning here.

ā€œWe believe this scandal ā€” or what has been referred to as the ā€˜climategateā€™ scandal ā€” we think this is definitely going to affect the nature of what could be trusted in our deliberations,ā€ the Saudi Arabian negotiator said.

He finally lost it by the end when the anchor thanked the participants.

Soon weā€™ll be calling press conferences to declare, ā€œThe earth is movingā€ or ā€œItā€™s going to get dark tonight.ā€ The reality is the climate has been changing ever since there was a climate, and part of that change was a cooling period as recent as the 1940s to the 1970s giving rise to fears of a coming ice age. When Gibbs spouts this rhetoric, heā€™s clearly referring to human-induced warming, but since when has climate change become synonymous with manmade global warming? And what does it take for a scientific consensus to stop being one?

We know you are doing your best to cover this up. It is understandable, but very immoral. Instead of focusing on one of the biggest scientific scandals ever, and identifying the real scoundrels involved, you have given in to both corporate and governmental pressure. Anthropogenic, or manmade, global warming is not open to debate. High Priest Al Gore said so. And how do we know this?

The climatology scriptures (peer review journals) proved it. If warming skeptics had legitimate claims, so the argument goes, then naturally their arguments and supporting data would appear in such journals ā€“ a persuasive argument, ably assisted by the fact that global warming zealots controlled those journals.

Problem is, at least one such peer review journal broke ranks *gasp* and, in Galilean fashion, began publishing articles questioning ā€œThe True Faithā€ of climatology. Heresy!

Former U.S. vice president Al Gore has likened the battle against climate change to fighting the Nazis during World War Two.

While some scientists involved in the international scandal now known as "Climategate" have admitted some raw data supporting the man-made global warming theory is now missing, the Penn State professor em-broiled in the controversy said the data in question has nothing to do with any of his work.

But when reached Monday, Penn State meteorology professor Michael Mann was able to offer some explanation as to why the data is now unavailable.

These IPCC findings are largely based on the work of CRU, whose scientists are shown in the leaked emails to have suppressed "inconvenient" data, ruthlessly excluded some scientists from peer-reviewed journals and flouted Freedom of Information laws governing public documents,

The thing to understand about the scandal surrounding the e-mails leaked from Britainā€™s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) is that it is actually three scandals. There is a scientific scandal, in which the leading lights of the climate-research cabal conspired to fudge data and silence skeptics. There is a media scandal, in which reporters and editors on the ā€œclimate beatā€ at the worldā€™s most prominent news organizations acted as stenographers for the cabal and ignored the scandal when it broke. And there is a political scandal, in which officeholders here and abroad used the bunk science as a pretext for expanding their control of (and take from) the worldā€™s energy markets.

Consider the case of Phil Jones, the director of the CRU and the man at the heart of climategate. According to one of the documents hacked from his center, between 2000 and 2006 Mr. Jones was the recipient (or co-recipient) of some $19 million worth of research grants, a sixfold increase over what he'd been awarded in the 1990s.

Why did the money pour in so quickly? Because the climate alarm kept ringing so loudly: The louder the alarm, the greater the sums. And who better to ring it than people like Mr. Jones, one of its likeliest beneficiaries?

Britain's University of East Anglia says the director of its prestigious Climatic Research Unit is stepping down pending an investigation into allegations that he overstated the case for man-made climate change.

Penn State University has announced that it has begun an investigation of the work of Michael Mann, the director of its Earth System Science Center, following revelations contained in the Climategate documents that have emerged from East Anglia University in the UK.

'No researchers in this field have ever, to our knowledge, ā€˜grafted the thermometer record onto' any reconstruction. It is somewhat disappointing to find this specious claim (which we usually find originating from industry-funded climate disinformation Web sites) appearing in this forum.'

Thanks to a fortunate turn of events, hackers have retrieved secretive IPCC emails discussing the manipulation of data to support the man-made global warming fraud and how the scientists advocating this hoax have been working to silence their peers that donā€™t support the lie.

Hopefully, this information has come out just in time to keep President Obama from signing the climate treaty in Copenhagen that will obligate us to pay the bulk of the global carbon tax, a tax not meant to fight climate change, but to finance a tyrannical world government..

ā€œObama Years Ago Helped Fund Carbon Program He Is Now Pushing Through Congressā€ is a FOXNews story by Ed Barnes. In short, ā€œWhile on the board of a Chicago-based charity, Barack Obama helped fund a carbon trading exchange that will likely play a critical role in the cap-and-trade carbon reduction program he is now trying to push through Congress as president.ā€

The charity was the Joyce Foundation on whose board of directors Obama served and which gave nearly $1.1 million in two separate grants that were ā€œinstrumental in developing and launching the privately-owned Chicago Climate Exchange, which now calls itself ā€œNorth Americaā€™s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide.ā€

An Associated Press article Sunday read like a virtual advertisement for global legislation on climate change: completely oblivious to the ClimateGate scandal and failing to give one drop of ink to anthropogenic global warming skeptics.

The piece, written by the AP's Ben Fox, announced its intent with the headline "Leaders Say Momentum Building on Climate Change." Readers were then treated to 570 words exclusively about these political leaders and their claims.

The reason why even the Guardian's George Monbiot has expressed total shock and dismay at the picture revealed by the documents is that their authors are not just any old bunch of academics.. Their importance cannot be overestimated, What we are looking at here is the small group of scientists who have for years been more influential in driving the worldwide alarm over global warming than any others, not least through the role they play at the heart of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
