Description

Dedicated to life on the water in the style of old. Shantyboats. Shanty means: a small crudely built dwelling or shelter usually of wood. But I think a shantyboat implies simple, functional, slower paced life on the river. It doesn't have to mean junky, just form follows function.. with an air of simplicity in the romantic sense. We love the idea of life on the river. Can the dream be reality? What works? What is legal? Why do it? Practical matters. Insurance, toilets, moorage, shanty or boat designs. Let's help each other.
