hi everyone, i will share many new photos very soon! he's a fresh blog on how
i am doing currently! thanks for being here with me.
modeling 2day 3 hours 4 oil painters then one hour for "digital laptop
drawing"demo.
managed to get to my model gig on my bicycle for the downhill parts then bus for
uphill! will do the reverse to get home. still have cough/mild
fever/congestion/hideously stuffed up nose and cannot taste or smell anything.
this same thing happened to me last year around this time. i remember not
tasting or smelling anything for about a week then suddenly i got better.
this to shall pass. no need for a doctor.
i need to clear a space for me to do my aRtwork. i feel like i have lost touch
with my aRt in the last year or so. many reasons for this. i got
distracted...one thing that would help is finding an easier way to make a living
so i can then dedicate all my free time to making/expressing through my
photos/video/audio experiments/poetry and painting. i want to paint some
canvases and also want to combine photography with painting. i saw something
recently that inspired me- someone black and white zeroxed and enlarged a photo
then mounted in on board then laminated it with clear shiny coating then painted
transparently on top of that. lovely layered texture effect...
i miss true multi media.
i don't want pressure to "make aRt that sells". i want to make aRt simply to
express myself and show it and share it. if someone wants to buy it great! but
not the point of making it.
modeling has paid my bills since 1997 just barely. i need to find a new more
simple way to make money so i can then do my art more and not stress about when
and where the "next model gig" is coming from.
i ache. thankfully the pose today is reclining with my eyes closed! oil paint
fumes not so nice to breath in though- but at least i cannot smell them today! i
model for some wonderful artists and i enjoy the environment of classrooms. it's
just the modeling itself is just not a good job for me anymore. i have outgrown
this work and need to find a new way to make a living i enjoy that pays me well.
i long to make some new aRtwork and share it.
my favorite Martha Graham quote:
"There is a vitality, a life-force, an energy, a quickening that is translated
through you into action and because there is only one of you in all of time,
this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any
other medium and be lost."
keep your unique channel OPEN!!! everyone. especially the creative ones like me!
