Description
1532. New Market Village. The gate is barred. A horde of barbarians besieges the town. They are many and fierce. They have come far wide under their individual colors. Night penetrates everything, oozing between tents and vehicles. Only campfires light the way, and seem a galaxy of fireflies. New Market has a plan. They will not repel the horde by force of arms. Fling open the gates with a cannon's report and ply the invaders with wine, music, merriment and objects of fascination and curiosity. Its hard to say who is the victor. Each season ends in stalemate, with little more than the promise to return again next year, when the heat begins to break.Clan Shadow Moon has a plan of its own. Hailing from a place between shadow and light we are friend to night and herald of dawn. Forgoing the excesses of less civilized brethren we will share the merriment, and leave some spirit left over for other conquests. Just enough spirits to brighten moods, just enough merriment to bring a smile, and just enough mischief to quicken the pulse. No treachery or plotting; no stilettos in the night; no sharpened words in the back; no elaborate rituals; no meaningless factions; no uncouth barbarians; Shadow Moon achieves wisdom in balance. Shadow Moon Clan is a group of friends near and around Houston, Texas who camp together in the patron campgrounds during the Texas Renaissance Festival Season (Renn Faire, TRF). Our Motto is Food, Friends, and Fire. Good Friends sharing good food and spirits around a friendly campfire.
