Here's a quick fic challenge. It is a tiny spoiler for Hide and Seek. If you haven't seen it and don't want a teeny spoiler, stop reading.

In Hide and Seek, Weir asks someone (whose name I can't remember) to get rid of all the 10,000 year old dead plants. What if they weren't ALL dead? What if one was still alive and had a side-effect or nasty ability?

 

Write a fic in which someone finds one of the plants alive. Pick the side-effect of your choice be it humorous, romantic, disgusting or terrifying. Any rating, any length, any pairing, no pairing...it's up to you.

 

Extra points if you make the plant sneak up on John in his room when he's alone and thinks he's safe. But you don't have to -- let your imagination go wild.
