USS INDIANA NCC-79158, is a Star Trek fan club "officially" located in Indianapolis, but in reality has members from a wide area. We're a proud Region One chapter of STARFLEET - The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. USS INDIANA is also very proud to embark three fine units of fandom in addition to our normal fanbase.
1) Carrier Strikefighter Wing One (CSW-1) (RADM Valerie Rose - commanding)
2) 100th Marine Strike Group, a unit of STARFLEET Marines - 1st Brigade, 1st Battalion. (Commanded by OIC LTC Jimmy Nelson)
3) STARFLEET Special Operations unit ADU-034 (OIC: LCDR Byran Detamore)
We boast deck space/life support capability to handle 490 STARFLEET Marines, 94 "Peregrine"-class strikefighters, and a few Mecha units.
About us: Our Capital MkIII-class fleet control ship is set within the Trek timeline between ST:TNG's third and seventh season. The timeframe is from 2368 - 2372. We wear the TNG season 3-7 uniform.
About the namesake: U.S.S. Indiana (BB-58) was a new and mighty battleship of the United States Navy in World War II. Our starship backs up Indiana's tradition and pride with her service to STARFLEET and our community. Several of our crew are US Armed Forces veterans.
Over the past few years, the USS INDIANA has developed into a triangular configuration, with the corners resting equally on members in Indianapolis and Terre Haute, IN and Louisville, KY. We are open to members from all over the country, since much of our business is conducted online.
Won't you join us - and "Serve From the Front"?
