Description

WELCOME TO SEYMOUR PARK!
~Founded 1997~

Seymour Park Neighborhood Association is located on Green Bay's near west side, bounded by Mason Street, the Fox River, Shawano Avenue, the Wisconsin Central Railroad.

We have had many accomplishments in the past, including the addition of a Splash Pad and decorative lighting in our park for beautification and safety. We also had ourpark shelter brightly painted.

We continue being pro-active by removing undesirable properties in the neighborhood while also adding green space. Additionally, we work closely with the Community Police to keep the neighborhood safe, and to monitor nuisance properties.

Our neighborhood sign located on the corner of Walnut & S. Oakland Ave. is maintained by a Master Gardner, and is a beacon welcoming people to the area.

We welcome any ideas and suggestions you have to improve and beautify our neighborhood. Currently we meet quarterly on a rotation of: December, March, June, and September, at 6:00PM. We would like to thank The First Presbyterian Church on 200 S. Ashland Avenue for the continued use of their facility to hold our meetings.

FRANK B. SEYMOUR PARK
The Green Bay and Western Railway forms the boundary west and south of this park. It was this railway which Rank B. Seymour Served for 64 years, rising from water boy to President. In his long and unusual career, he brought distinction to his industry and his city. He provided the leadership in the move to convert an unsightly slough into this useful public property and contributed substantially to it's improvement.
