This group relives the historic and famous Giant Forest Village in the heart of Sequoia National Park. It was recently taken from us, through exaggerated preservation movements. It was built in the 1920's and was a popular place for vacationing. It supported camping, lodging and millions of people were able to experience life among the paradise of Giant Forest. It had a woodsy style motel, a lodge, lots of camping sites, cafeteria, grocery store, 2 gift shop and gas station. For approximately 100 years years mankind, buildings and large Sequoia Trees co-existed in this area and the trees were fine. Check out the photo section, files and links. The village was removed and destroyed by preservationist management that we believe used corrupt and misleading methods. (see http://www.giantforestvillage.com ) Most former visitors and taxpayers had no say regarding the destruction. Many of the buildings were under the federal historic protection act and were destroyed anyway. We would like to have it brought back since the land is still there.
