Description
The 'International Association of Sephardic Religious Discourse' is an Internet based group of members who discuss (through an email list) issues pertaining to Sephardic Halakha (Jewish law), and Sephardic Minhag (religious customs). Topics revolve around the Judeo-Spanish/Judeo-Arabic/Mizrahi communities of the former Ottoman Empire and all of its former territories, the Balkans, the Holy Land and Lost Communities, Pre and Post expulsion Iberia, Gibraltar and the North African Communities.
The list is moderated 24/6 (closed for Shabbat and Yom Tov), and follows traditional Torah observant Judaism ideals. This list is for all Jewish people (both Ashkenazi & Sephardic alike), non-Jews will be allowed to participate at the discretion of the moderator.
You can sign up to receive multiple individual messages as they are posted throughout the day, or sign up for the digest, which will deliver to your mailbox, one larger combined email of the daily messages. We encourage you to sign up and say hello, or just sit back and read the postings.
This Jewish list is a sub list of the INTERNATIONAL SEPHARDIC DISCUSSION GROUP (history, genealogy, culture) which was founded in 1998, and is organized under the International Sephardic Leadership Council.
