I'll be in Cambridge at 5:30 for a meeting of the Friends of the Great Guernsey
Trail. If I get out of there on time, I'll come to Mr. Lees! Even though I
only got my kayak wet twice this season. Maybe if I'm in on the planning for
2010, I'll get out with my boat more next year.

I can't be there Thursday night, but I wanted to tell everyone to put Sunday, April 25, from 1-4 on their calendar as Try a Kayak Day at the New Concord Reservoir.

This is from Larry via telepathy: Full moon 12-1-09, FULL COLD MOON, Full moon
12-31-09, FULL LONG NIGHT MOON, I (Larry) prefer: BLUE MOON. Supposedly that
is were we got the phrase "once in a blue moon" according to www.space.com it
takes 33 months to get two full moons in one month. And the second one is the
Blue Moon. Now you know, or is it no????
It has been brought to my attention (bye Jeannette) that we should shorten our
Saturday paddle fore a number of reasons...water temps, shorter daylight hours,
water levels, etc. We have the option of taking out in Newcomerstown (14
miles). We can decide on Saturday AM.

the ones in Cleveland)the full moon in November is know as the Beaver Moon.
That Chief Musky is on it! Thanks Larry for the info.

Looks like a good day to run a creek today. Licking is at around 6 feet and so is the Kokosing. I am headed for Riley Chapel Road on the Kokosing if anyone wants to come along. I plan on being at the take out there around 11 or 11:30.

Meet at the Salt Fork Marina at 5:30PM for what appears to be our last evening
paddle. Flipper had his new strip built kayak out yesterday for its inagural
float and promised to bring it Tuesday. Very niece boat! Come on out, paddle,
and ogle this thing of beauty (not me, but Flippers kayak).

How about we go on Dillon lake sometime next week? Are you working central any? Could talk there about it. I used to put in right at Central in the canal and go up around the memorial bridge and back as a quick workout. Haven't done that in awhile.

Hey Pat! Bill Shaw here, good to see you on the group. I did a great paddle today, went from Gaysport to McConnelsville.
I am back in business everyone! I finally found a truck to replace the wrecked one and can haul my boats again! And Stick, it does qualify as a farm truck, dented and rusted in all the right places.

Fellow SEOP'ers.
It's one of those rare occassions where I will agree with Bruce. The paddle at Salt Fork will be pretty nice Saturday. Gander Mountain supplies all the grub and you can meet paddlers from different areas. I won't be able to make it. Saturday is opening day of bow season. I will be out chasing my supper.
Meat at the Clendening Lake Marina at 11 AM. Directions to Marina from
Cambridge: SR22 to SR800. LEFT on 800, RIGHT on SR799 to Bose Road on left,
Marina off Bose Road. Travel time from Cbridge is approx 35 minutes. This may be
a chilly paddle but Clendening Lake is very pretty especially with the fall
colors...I hear the maples are a lovely Lava color this year.

I apologize for the posting for our weakly paddle not showing up on this board. I was away from my regular computer and had to use one where the internet connection was provided by Time Warner...the service will remain nameless (beep, beep!). I am sorry and have learned my lesson. I will stick to satellite from now on! Sorry Chuck. Bruce
