That is such  a shame Earline, I can think of at least two people that would
love it.   If only I lived closer, I would purchase it for my daughter.   She
loves to play, but her piano went up in flames when she had her house fire.
With the Holidays getting close, I decided that with the first of the New Year I
would renew my subscription to ancestry.com again.   Got the full subscription
for 6 months.   I really missed not having it, but was not using it enough to
keep it.   Hoping I will make time to get back to work.

Showers this morning, going to low 60's.

My grandson Levi had his first solo performance on Friday night and I missed it,
he sings and plays guitar. My granddaughter went to see Justin Bieber in Toronto
last night with her mom and grandfather.

I'm not a very good plumber, the sink still leaks. The band-aid didn't work,
everything needs to be replaced except the sink.

Mine is not either.   His father was an electrician, so he can do a little
electrical work, but other then that, nothing.   Geo. worked behind a desk all
his working life and he is more comfortable there then being a Jack of all
trades.    My father, on the other hand, could do just about everything, so I
learned a lot watching and used to be the handyman in this house, until I
decided, I am too old to do that kind of stuff anymore.  Winterizing the boat is
not any more difficult then winterizing a motorhome.   Just make sure you get
the anti-freeze all the way through the lines - pump it through.  Make sure the
anti-freeze is something that you can rinse with water for drinking.  A friend
of mine used to winterize his boat with vodka, and in the spring he would fill
the water tank and have a party with the vodka water.  A little expensive for my
way of thinking.
Just about finished with my decorating and have all the Cards written out with
eight to get notes and they are done.

Foggy this morning but sunny all afternoon.  Ready to start my baking this week.

Oh, I agree Earline.   The crooks and bad guys have all the guns, all that would
do now, would be to stop the honest people from getting them.    I think there
is a gross over reaction to the Newtown massacre.   One nut case is what it is
all about.   We should be more concerned about those that walk amoung us, then
who is carrying a gun.   This is had problems for many years, and I don't think
he is alone, there are more out there not being treated and protected by
parents.
Our temps. went down into the low 30's for the past two nights.   Frost last
night and I did not cover plants.   I hope they will not be damaged by the
frost.   Some are covered by the eaves that over hang, but some I should have
covered.  I may lose two gardenias, but I can always replace them so not going
to worry.
I am just about ready for Christmas, we will be having a standing rib roast for
the two of us with mashed potatoes and gravy with either peas or green beans.  
No Yorkshire pudding this year.   Too much trouble for the two of us and we
don't need that much rich food.  Pumpkin pie and mince meat pie for dessert.
Hope you and your family will be enjoying a fine Christmas dinner also.

We will be starting our warm up today.   Low last night was in the 50's with a
high of 72 today and tomorrow we will be back to our normal winter temps. of
low: mid 50's and high: mid to high 70's.  I had to put the electric blanket on
the bed and with George's low blood count, he has had to run it on high for the
past two nights.
I bought some egg nog and cider to make some hot mulled cider for Christmas.   I
haven't make home made egg nog since I lived in Virginia some twenty years ago.
I don't drink it so one quart lasts a long time.
JoAnn's is having a 40% off on my embroidery thread, so thinking about making a
run to the store today.  I try to buy the thread when it is on sale, since I do
use a lot of it.  The sale is on all week, so if I don't go today, I will be
sure to go before Friday.   My neighbor and I exchanged our gifts yesterday, she
gave us more Belgian chocolate, so my sweet tooth will be happy for the Holiday.
I hope hubby's back gets better soon, there is nothing worse then a bad back,
constantly nagging.

80 deg. yesterday and down to 43 deg. this morning.   We are up and down like a
yo yo.  Got all my decorations down and put away yesterday.  House is back to
normal except my Christmas drape in the dinning room.   That I like to leave up
until after New Year.  Earline, how bad was your snow storm, news reports that
your area got hit hard.

Chilly, snow flurries. We've got more snow now than we got all winter last year.
I'm surprised that there are no snowmobiles around.

Hubby's back to work, it's all light duty right now. I shoveled the sidewalk
yesterday for the first time in years.

No New Years resolutions for me, just staying home New Year's Eve, trying to
stay awake until midnight.
