The Charter for Seattle Hindi Samiti is multifaceted.

1. It will server as a forum for students of Hindi to practice their conversational skills and benefit from the company of native Hindi speakers.

2. This is a forum to bring together native speakers who are also language enthusiasts - from a literary or a linguistic perspective.

3. If we can gather enough creative talent, perhaps we can put together some informal 'lekhak goshThis' or 'kavi sammelans' as well.

4. In future we may even host gatherings when prominent Hindi language/literature personalities come visit the Pacific Northwest.

No minimum skill level is required to join the group - the only thing required is enthusiasm for Hindi, in any capacity.
