Andrew was skidooing with friends on Feb.25,2006,he left St.Anthony that Sat. morning enroute to a cabin near the Goose Cove area, they left St.Anthony approx 10-10:30 A:M,They were at the cabin for a short time then left to return home because of an impending storm.
His friends made it home shortly after noon, however Andrew wasn't with them,Andrew's dad,Eugene contacted the friends concerning Andrews whereabouts at approx,5 P:M and after learning Andrew hadn't returned home with them, dad went to find him assuming Andrew must have had skidoo troubles, but couldn't find him.
By this time the weather had deteriorated and it was now a full blown storm with strong winds and blowing snow, family and friends along with dad searched throughout the night and early morning with no results.Police were called for assistance and a search party was organized for Daybreak Sunday morning.
The search party comprised of R.C.M.P officers, search and rescue,Nfld Rangers, local fire depts along with family and many local volunteers searched for 5 days using helicopters, dogs and manpower,Andrew Hasn't been found and the official search was called off until this spring when the snow is gone.
The family continues to search daily.Andrew is the oldest son of Darlene and Eugene Sexton, his younger brother Nathan was accidentally hit and killed by a car at the age of 5 yrs, leaving Andrew the only remaining child.
His Parents have been through the heartache of losing a child, the only consolation was they had answers and closure.
If anyone who has any information that could help us find Andrew,Please inform the R.C.M.P or leave a message on this site.Your prayers and messages are appreciated.
