This Moderated Announcement list promotes Argentine Tango, it's music and it's culture in Southeast Iowa. It is not set up as a "conversation list."

We announce local practicas, milongas, and workshops. Iowa City Tango Club holds Practica on Tuesday evenings in Iowa City, and a club-sponsored Milonga on the 2nd Saturday night of each month. There is also a privately-sponsored Milonga in Iowa City on the 4th Saturday. Cedar Rapids Tango Club holds Milongas 1st & 3rd Sunday afternoons. All these milongas are open to the public, whether or not you dance tango.

We periodically have guest instructors come to Iowa City to teach us.

We also announce workshops and festivals hosted by our tango friends in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, and a very few select National events. We'll try to answer any questions relating to events as they come up.

We'll also use this space to send occasional Tango newsletters. All other postings will be deleted without comment.

All in all, a fairly low volume, relaxed group dedicated to keeping Southeast Iowa tango dancers thinking "LET'S TANGO NOW" !!!
