This email list for anyone who considers themselves Democratic, yellah-dawg, blue-dog, pro-Democratic Independent, Progressive, socially-liberal/fiscal conservative, socially conservative/fiscal liberal, left-leaning centrist or DEM-curious-fed-up-with-Republicans.

Whatever you call yourself in this political spectrum, you are welcome here. This list is a place for sharing information, wonkishly hashing over fine points of public policy, vigorously debating issues, cheering on Democratic candidates, singing kumbaya and picking bones with media. Diverse opinion, shared respectfully is welcome here. Flame wars can be entertaining at times and snarkiness is allowed, but be advised that if it gets too personal or threatening the moderators will step in to chill it out by whatever means necessary, including but not limited to: warnings, public spankings, screening of the troublemakers messages, and banishment from the list. Unless we already know you, all new members will have their first few messages screened by moderators because, frankly, we don't want to have to put up with trolls.
