The St. Charles Writing Group is a creative writing workshop that usually meets the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m.

The group began in 1995 after an Illinois Arts Council's Short Term Artists Residency (S.T.A.R.) in poetry led by the group's moderator, Rick Holinger, PhD.

Prospective members are encouraged to visit. Quarterly readings are open to the public.

There is no fee for membership; the only requirement is a commitment to writing your best, and supporting other writers' efforts to improve their craft.
