Bag stuffing will be on March 16th at 12 noon in a new location. It is
part of the Convention Center, but you can only reach it from the street,
East and across the street from the main Convention Center entrance.
We've attached a link to a map to help folks locate where to go.
Additionally, we have asked the Convention Center to help out by posting

Hello,

Sakura-Con 2008 Technical Services is currently looking for new and
experienced tech staff as we celebrate our 11th year in the Northwest.
There are several benefits (other than the adulation of thousands of
attendees) for volunteers who step forward to serve as staff. I need
your help to make everything possible!

Technical Services staff form the support backbone of almost all
programming and major events presented at the convention. We work
throughout the year to give attendees an experience they won't soon
forget. ^_^

I'm looking for a few good volunteers to join me in the following
positions:

Technical Services Staff
- General staff, supports all tech responsibilities
http://scmb.sakuracon.org/viewtopic.php?t=15574

This is a great way to meet people who share your interests, looks great
on a resume, and supports a worthy cause. Sakura-Con needs you! Come
enjoy a weekend of fun and see how we operate behind the scenes. If you
are interested in any of these positions, please contact
techstaff@...!

I allow my staff to Cosplay as long as their costume doesn't take up too much
room, since we have limited room in registration. I don't know of any depts
that don't allow people to Cosplay while volunteering but you would have to
double check with the dept you are interested in working with.

Konnichi wa!
Excellent question about cosplaying while volunteering. Yes! by all means. I
cosplay and encourage others to cosplay as it is one of the most fun parts
of Sakura-con.
Note that it is best if the costume is both comfortable and easy to move in
as volunteers are usually very busy going all over the convention space.
You should also be sure to read the Sakura-con policies on appropriate dress
to be sure your costume meets the conventions family friendly policies.
So, be creative and join me in costume at the con.

Just a reminder to check the "General Meetings" tab on the main page
for the meeting schedule. Meetings are monthly (usually on sundays)
with some special events like August's BBQ meeting thrown in just for fun.
Attending the monthly meetings is a great way to stay in touch with
whats going on and meet with other staff.
Monthly meeting notes from past meetings are also posted on the webpage.
Hope to see ya there!
