Sorry for the lack of updates to Scripting News this afternoon, all of a
sudden at some point earlier (who knows what time) HTTP stopped working. I
thought I had caught the virus. A traceroute to our Exodus servers worked
fine, I could send and receive email, ICQ worked. But no HTTP. I spent a
bunch of time chatting with Chris Pirillo, and then Brent Simmons, and we
figured it out. My ISP got flooded and turned off port 80 for all their
users. A quick call confirmed it. So I can't update Scripting News until
they get back on the air, or I figure out how to work around it (we could
operate a server on a different port, just for me). In any case, it was time
for a break. Hope you're all doing great and see you on the Web, real soon,
Murphy-willing. Love, Dave
