Description
The Scotland-China Association exists to foster friendship and understanding between the people of Scotland and China.
The Association brings together people from all walks of life, generally based in Scotland, who share an interest in all aspects of Chinese culture. The Association is non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian.
Members and newcomers have the opportunity to attend open meetings in Glasgow and Edinburgh. These cover a wide range of topics and take the form of linguistic exchanges, ‘conversation cafés’, talks, discussions, guided tours, slide shows, concerts, recitals, video presentations, film screenings, etc.
Meetings are also held to coincide with cultural events and exhibitions in Scotland. Members also have the opportunity to meet Chinese Delegations visiting Scotland and to celebrate traditional Chinese festivals with Chinese people living in Scotland.
Membership is open to anyone interested in China and starts at £5 per annum. This fee includes a subscription to the Association's magazine, Sine. Any individual who shares an interest in China is welcome to join the Association. To do so, please send an e-mail to Dale Finlayson, our membership officer, at dale.finlayson@scotchina.org
