Welcome to SciFax/Science Facts, a science discussion group that has its origins in Thinkers International which started on Feb 18th, 1997.

We are looking for people that can engage on a civil basis and are willing to learn not just about science, but other ways of thinking. A person may be right, but to prove this to others is salesmanship. Ideas, just like goods and services, have to be sold. The scientific method is just a quality assurance tool. Anybody joining this group should please take the time to learn about its culture, and the people that comprise it.

The average age of this group is 40+, and the years of experience is significant. Contributors have included Nobel laureates. There are no age or experience requirements for membership. The rules are few: respect copyright (do not submit or poach material without permission); respect other subscribers; keep the topics of discussion within the sciences.

Greetings, Gentle Folk:

This is an invitation to join a fellowship of highly intelligent people around the globe. Most of the members are members of Mensa or other Hi-IQ groups but there is no requirement for such. Intelligence is not hard to discern in written material, and some of my most valued members are not associated with any such group.

Thinkers International has been described as a "conversation among peers." Few of us have ever met "in the flesh," few of us will ever meet thus, but we meet in cyberspace to discuss whatever we choose to discuss.
