It is Sun, 1:27am EDT (0527z).
"Delta 351" is up with Dispatch on 129.9.
Pilot reports a very loud pop occurred at 10,000 ft.
Says it was especially startling to the flight attendants in the back.
Says it is getting worse, and he wants to put the plane down.
Says he is now just south of Ft Myers FL; has 49,000 pounts of fuel
aboard.
After some deliberation, Dispatch tells the pilot to return to Atlanta.
Dispatch advises pilot to inform passengers that they will work on
getting another aircraft to continue the flight to Lima.
Delta 351 is a Boeing 757-200 that departed Hartsfield IAP, Atlanta GA
(KATL) and is en route to Jorge Chavez IAP, Lima Peru (SPIM).
