Greetings to one and all! This is a club for SCA related archery. In the SCA (the Society for Creative Anachronism) we try to recreate life in the dark and middle ages of Europe. This includes Archery which is my main interest in the SCA. For the most part, the minimum you need is a stick bow or non-modern crossbow to play with us, there is no aluminum, training wheels or sights. all the arrows are feather fletched woodies. However to be "period" as we put it, is an aspect that some of us enjoy. selfbows, hand cut nocks and tied on goosefeathers is what we would prefer.
We shoot such games as Royal rounds, clout shoots and advancing soldier. We do not shoot with any broadheads or bodkin points but otherwise old fashioned is in. There is much more to offer in this sport of SCA archery that is more than I can say here so please come in and enjoy yourself and make yourself at home.
