Re: [SCA-JML] Movies are not documentation, was Samurai Banners: The Movie

I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't clear on what the movie was for. If I gave you the
impression that I was siting it as a source then I opollogize. What the that
movie was for was to get a better look at garb and such that I already knew what
it looked liked from mesuem pieces particularly female garb. A movie can help
in that way. IF you already know what the acurrat garb looks like then watching
a movie with people wearing it can give you a better understanding of how it
looked, moved, etc.

I can stare at pictures on the web all day long, seeing it in 3D adds that extra
demision that can be the clue you where looking for as to how it all worked.
Kind of like the difference between reading about something and having someone
show you.

So for those of you that mentioning a movie for looking at garb seemed to have
ruffled your feathers, I'm sorry and I will keep those little tidbits of info to
myself, or myself and the few who I know would understand it.

In Honor and Service,
Uesugi no Ryujuichiro Uchiyasu
Chiburi Household
