This group is intended for study and discussion of the Ilkhanate, or Persia under the Mongols. This was a time of great cultural and artistic hybridization -- food, dress, art, religion, and other aspects of culture from Central Asia, China, and Iran mingled into a new hybrid culture.

Please make an effort towards good scholarship. If someone asks for your sources, it's not an insult. Likewise, please remember that not everyone has the time, interest, money, or inclination to be 100% authentic, so please don't harass people about their authenticity choices, either.
