This group is for Pagans who follow the Old Ways as described in "Travels Through Middle Earth". We are polytheists who honor the gods and sacred spirits of pre-Christian England. Some of us direct our reverence primarily to our gods, others to our ancestors, and still others to the elves - the nature spirits - who live among us.

Saxon Pagans are defined by two parameters:
1) We are polytheists who know the gods and spirits as real entities.
2) We draw our inspiration from the beliefs and customs of the Germanic peoples who settled in England in the 3rd-6th centuries.

Beyond these parameters there is no "One True Way" for our path. Group members are expected to respect the ideas and inspirations of others. The moderators also expect common decency from all group members. Racist, sexist and homophobic rhetoric is not acceptable here.

New group members are encouraged to post an introduction. Let us know if you currently belong to an inhíred, or if you're looking for other like minded Pagans, if you have any hobbies, etc. What are your interests? Do you brew mead, or would you like to learn how? Do you study the runes? How do you incorporate Saxon spirituality into your daily life?
