Some of the Leitrim Protectors of Tara travelled down to the sacred
valley last night to join with the faithful hardy few of the Vigil.
The valley was wearing a cloak of mist, and bathed in a beautiful full
Harvest Moon.
We entered the royal domain with song and invocation, at the Mound of
the Hostages, we paused, silenced by the beauty of the sacred
landscape, listening, paying our respects, and from the top of the
ancient tomb we were graced with wonderful moonbows (lunar rainbows)
At the Lia Fail, the ancient stone of wisdom, we were joined by more
yet more moonbows. Still shrouded in thickening mist, we approached
the churchyard to be greeted by a very large frog.
We approached Bloc and Bluicna and gasped as the faded Sheela na Gig
jumped out at us when illuminated from above with a torch.
Illuminated and inspired by the moon, I have to ask, why as the paper
Celtic Tiger (which we now see was never real, only clever origami) is
swallowed by the mire of debt, how can we as a nation stand by while
€800 is wasted on an unnecessary cursed road that cuts through the
very heart of land?
Did you agree to a 45 year mortgage to use it?
It is utter rubbish for the politicians to say their hands are tied by
the law, they are the law makers and breakers!
WE are the nation.
Collectively each one of us.
So let your voice be heard, let our elected public representatives and
unelected public servants, like the NRA Nation-al Roads Authority,
know your views.
They are supposed to be working for the nation not for the benefit of
corrupt developers, they need reminding.
Please email, mail, fax and talk to your TDs and ministers.
Be at Navan Library at 7pm on Thursday and let Noel Dempsey know what
you think about your money being spent on this corrupt desecration.
Wouldn't it be interesting to see his reaction if 100 people at the
meeting all ask him about the rail link or the Meath Master Plan or
ask him how much he and his cronies received in brown envelopes? ;)
As a nation we must claim back our heritage, our sovereignty, our
culture, our roots, our ancestors (and their bones currently sitting
in bin bags at ACS in droheda).
Each of us have own unique reasons and motivations for our interest in
Tara.
It may be trying to preserve our heritage, the sacred, or the graves
of the Fianna.
It could be because we see the un-sustainability of the way we are
living, consumerism - the new religion, and our dependence on oil and
the car.
It may be because of our love of the land, or the 400 year old oak
trees, or the centuries old badger sets.
The spiritual heart of Ireland, the very core of early Irish history,
mythology, sovereignty and identity is being destroyed, our roots are
being cut off.
It is time to Wake up, stand up, and join the warriors,
Take a stand for your country, or for the 500 United Irish men and
women who died fighting for your freedom on Soldier's Hill in 1798.
Make a stand before their memorial becomes an obscene floodlit 42 acre
interchange.
It is not too late.
So this Samhain, let's come together to remember our ancestors.
The time is now to hold another Monster Meeting.
To fight this tyrannical septic corruption and demand emancipation-
freedom from the new slavery.
Wake up warriors, poets, drummers and pipers.
Let us remember our ancestors and march to the ACS storage facility
where our dead are irreverently held.
Let's go and demand their reinternment.
