This is a group of people trying to save the Providence Public Library from reductions in staff and services.

We are mostly from Providence and the state of Rhode Island but welcome members from anywhere! We are library patrons, supporters, lovers, and defenders. We are the public, staff of PPL, local politicians, media, and everyone else with an interest in preventing the changes coming to PPL.

This group is open to the public and unmoderated which means:

1) realize you are expressing your views in a public forum and what you say as well as your identity will be available for anyone to see (so, if you are PPL staff you may want to use an email that will hide your identity. And it also means administration and trustees could be lurking here as well)

2) try and be civil and also respectful of other opinions.
