This week's new episode is called "Retro". TV Tome doesn't yet have a description for the episode, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. 4pm Eastern, 3pm Centra.

The episode slated to air on Friday is "Snooty" which
is actually episode 49 and comes before "PJ", and
"Ploot".
Interestingly, the episode titled "Remmy" - number 48
- is not on the airing schedule at all, currently,
although they show as far ahead as "Link" which airs
on June 17th. The episode "Phoon" which had its
airdate pushed back after the typhoon will also be
airing in June.
The current list of airdates for new episodes is:
May 17th - Snooty (Episode 49)
May 20th - Retro (Episode 53)
June 3rd - Phoon (Episode 45)
June 17th - Link (Episode 50)
Also, "Rufus" (the crossover with Kim Possible) is
listed at TV Tome as Episode #55, by the by.
Production number 214. "Spats", the crossover with
The Proud Family is listed as episode 54, production
number 213.
Hope everyone finds this helpful.

I just thought that since TV Guide has noticed this episode in some way, fans could write relevant letters to support your show. Remember, Lilo &Stitch is subject to the "65 Episode Policy".
Letters must include your name, address &home phone number.
Take a look at this folks. As Mr. Robinson so eloquently put it, this may be our chance to write in and tell the world just how much we love the show. A lot of cartoons (and regular shows for that matter) don't get opportunities like this, so we should go ahead and take advantage of it.

Dear Mr.. Eisner:
I am a long-term fan of Disney's Lilo and Stitch, not just of
the movies, but ABC/Disney chanael animated series. I'm not a
member of what you think is the shows target audience 3-11 year
olds. I am a woman in her 30s with no children of my own; there
are many of us, male and female from all walks of life.
Most of the fans I have encountered have been in some
large and very active Yahoo-groups. The members range in age from
their teens to there 50s. It seems Disney is targeting teens
and so-called Tweens at the Disney channel especially, but
young Adults and people in Middle age have purchasing power, which
pleases advertisers. They also buy Lilo and Stitch products for
their children and themselves, such as toys, mugs and clothes
Lilo and Stitch is a wonderfully crafted show with much
creative potential. Stitch has 625 "cousins." And the
standard 65 episodes you give your cable shows are not enough
to explore the comic possibilities these loveable/mischievous
creatures have. The talented writers the show has could have
stories for years to come. If they keep the stories fresh the fans
will continue to watch and the show will attract more viewers.
Respectfully yours, Marcie Ann Gore ANY SUGUESTIONS?

...who is responsible for their favorite shows ending
with 65 episodes. This was posted by a 13 year old on
a TvTome forum to Mr. Jess Winfield, someone who works
on Lilo & Stitch.
"Jess, Are you guys gonna dump the show after 65
episodes?"
My response:
"Jess has nothing to do with "dumping" the series. Mr.
Eisner of Disney will dump the series, along with Kim
Possible, just as they did Even Stevens and Lizzie
McGuire. I know a bunch of folks at
http://www.savedisneyshows.org/ that would be more
than happy to explain it all to you. :-)"
I don't blame him. He is only 13 years old. I'm 24 and
I didn't even know about the 65 episode limit until I
found groups like this. I assume that most of us are
probably at least 16 years or older. But there's a
whole group of younger people out there who have
limited or no Internet access. Young teens and
pre-teens, who would probably just get as upset as us,
if they were only aware of the episode limit and who
the real enemy is. It's not Jess Winfield or Steve
Loter. But I can see why people who aren't educated in
this matter can blame the producers, writers, and
directors of these shows. And that's not fair. We have
to let everyone know from ages 6 to 96, who Mr. Eisner
really is!

I have no problems with KP or Recess. I 've watched both of them. The only thing I have to say about it is to leave the Lilo and Stitch Universe ALNOE! It was heart whrenching enough to see Regis Philbin on it. (That made me so angry!!!) Other shows in the past that were DESPERATE did stuff like this, Flinstones meet the Jetsons ring a bell?
I'm sorry, I feel Strongly about my Stitch, he's the reason I want ot be a voice actor.

http://my.yahoo.com
This is from an article of sorts I was writing up for the
SaveDisneyShows forum - www.savedisneyshows.org - and I thought it
might be applicable here.
The Invisible 'Ohana
(A fan's view of the fandom)
I have been a fan of Lilo and Stitch for a long time, and I found the fact
that they planned to stop the show after only 65 episodes to be horrible
on many levels. After all, they aren't exploring the full potential of the
show if they cut it off when it's only just begun. The story also won't be
complete. 626 experiments were created (well, 627 if you want to get
technical). How many experiments can you possibly find a place for in
only 65 episodes?
Then there is the fact that Disney is only doing this because of some rule
that says more than 65 episodes of a show is a bad idea, regardless of
what the fans may think. Is it really fair to do things according to this
formula, when there are and will continue to be many fans who enjoy the
show and would continue to enjoy it past that magical number 65?
There are people who would counter with the fact that L&S doesn't
really seem to have any fans. A fact that I find particularly intriguing,
considering that I myself *am* a fan. I think pat of the problem may be
in the apparent disparity in the fan base. I can't say this for a certainty,
but I do have a few observations on the matter from what I've seen.
Firstly, that the younger fan base consists of children up to the age of
approx 10-12 (I'd say younger is more common) which is attracted by
the brightness of the show, the cute or cool experiments and the action
sequences.
Then you've got the older fans who enjoy the characterization - and for a
show that uses up a lot of time with pure mayhem, L&S has really good
characterizations.
Here's the rub - you have a rather large section right in the middle where
the show is either too kiddish or else they don't get the subtleties of the
non-action parts. Like it or not, there is quite a bit of humor in the show
that would go over the heads of younger children. So you end up with
sort of a "hit or miss" deal when it comes to fans.
I've heard stories from people in that middle range of fans, mostly
mentioning the fact that it wasn't the action in Lilo and Stitch that turned
them off of the series. But of course, the action/battle/experiment chasing
parts of Lilo and Stitch are really straight forward. No, it's the idea of
'ohana, that they don't quite seem to get. I just had to wonder about
that...
Why is it the concept of 'ohana that seems to bother people?
Whether we mean to or not, we absorb a lot of lessons about prejudice
and not accepting that we don't understand - most of it just from what
we hear and see day to day.
There is no definitive black and white in the concept, which makes it
difficult to accurately peg the lesson to be learned. This is bound to make
people uncomfortable. Besides, acceptance is a lesson which cannot be
taught immediately, but rather, one that needs to be absorbed over a
period of time. No matter how good the intentions, a person cannot
immediately overcome their perceptions of others. Trying to forcefeed it
down someone's throat would only backfire. But expose a person to it in
a positive manner long enough and they will often come around without
even realizing that there was a change happening.
For the same reason, this is a show that requires constant watching to
really begin to "get" what it's about, beyond the chase scenes and the cool
aliens. Notice that even the villains change and absorb some of the
lessons of 'ohana. They're not evil - or at least, they have the potential to
not be evil. Just as Lilo will sometimes do things which are far from being
definitively "good".
Younger children will absorb what they see with very little question -
adults will already have their opinions formed and therefore you'll
usually only see the ones that have similar beliefs watching it. For
teenagers there's all sorts of levels in between, determined by many
things - their own perceptions of themselves, pressure from others. It's
just one more bit of imput - and not a neccesarily popular one.
It was also noted several times that there is a clear disparity between the
number of Lilo and Stitch fans and the number of fan pages. To put it
bluntly, there really aren't any. The only one I know exists is my own,
and I made it solely to combat the absence of L&S fandom online. I've
even heard people on the SaveDisneyShows forum doubting the
"saveability" of the show.
I know better, as does everyone else who has read and enjoyed a L&S
fanfiction, or created a piece of fanart. The question is not whether the
fans exist, it is WHERE are they. With the little evidence I have, I can
only draw a few speculative conclusions.
Younger fans are less likely to be active online - hence the lack of
webpages/activity from that sector - but they're also the ones that
Disney uses towards its summation of how well a show is doing. The
older fans - like myself - tend to be a bit more cautious about when and
where they go about treading on legal feet, and Disney has a rather bad
reputation for coming down hard for minor stuff in that regard. You build
it and they come, but often they won't build it themselves. Disney has
put the fear in them, and it feels like they can only sit back and endure it
- making due with the occasional fanfic or artwork scattered here and
there across the net.
The truly sad thing is, in the eyes of Disney, we older fans don't really
count at all towards whether a show is doing well or not. We are the
invisible audience, and Disney Corporation doesn't see that it is crippling
itself with its actions.
We deserve the right to say that we want more of the show we enjoy.
More to the point, we *possess* this right. There is nothing preventing
us from writing in and letting them know exactly how we feel about the
matter. Well, there are a few things. Apathy. Fear. The belief that we
have already lost. Of course, if we are feeling these things, then yes. We
*have* already lost.
And then there's 'ohana... We all know what it means. It teaches
acceptance, love, and tolerance of our differences. The 'ohana in Lilo and
Stitch is built up of many diverse characters - most of whom aren't even
blood kin - but are a family nonetheless. I enjoy the show the most for
the lessons it has taught me about the sheer scope of love that is
possible. Everyone longs for acceptance at some point or another, and
the ideal of Lilo and Stitch appeals greatly to that little part inside that
has always wanted to be loved "just the way we are".
Yes, we all know what it *means*, but are have we really embraced it as
deeply as we claim? To unashamedly steal a quote from Stitch (one that
never fails to bring tears to my eyes): "This is my family. I found it all
by myself. It's little and broken but still good. Yes... still good." Where
would any of the characters we know and love be if they had gone ahead
and given up on their little "broken" family? We are also part of this
'ohana now, and we should not give up on our family just because
someone said it couldn't last.
"'Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind... or
forgotten."

Let's face it, the only good reason to cancel a show is if they run out of
ideas or interest. We know they haven't lost the latter, otherwise we fans
wouldn't want to save the show. But I also can't see how they might
have run out of the former already either.
By demonstration: Here's some potential story ideas that could be used if
they decide to run the show past the slated 65 episodes. If anyone else
has any, feel free to suggest them. Perhaps we can send them in as proof
that there is still a great deal of potential left in the show.
Episode Ideas:
"Happy" -
Experiment 333 is activated - also known as the "happy" experiment.
One touch from any of its three tails leaves people in a state of blissful
happiness. Unfortunately, it always wears off and leaves the person
wanting more and willing to do just about anything to continue being
"happy".
"Jeeves" -
Experiment 072 is activated. Designed to be Jumba's own personal little
butler, it seems great at first, always doing what needs to be done. It's
soon revealed that 072 was put away because it has a tendency to take
over the lives of the people it "serves", making it impossible for them to
be at all individualistic.
"Cypher" -
A leak in the roof of the music store leads to the activation of experiment
347, designed to translate any language, spoken or written.
Unfortunately, it uses this information to turn people against each other.
"Twist" -
Experiment 403 is activated during a rainstorm. Getting caught in its
swirly-eyed gaze causes a 180 degree twist in a person's attitude - so
responsible people become lazy bums, etc.
"Grandfather" -
Experiment 488 becomes active, causing rapid aging in living beings who
come into close contact with it.

Yeah, Jumba is uber cool - I love the character, even
though my favorite is Pleakley. I've been collecting
addresses and emails that people who are interested in
helping save the show can use to contact the people at
Disney and let them know how much they enjoy Lilo and
Stitch and would like to see it continued for longer
than 65 episodes.
Our strength is gonna have to be in numbers, so if you
know anyone who might be interested in preserving the
show, please do point them over to the group.

"If everyone else is beef ravioli and you're fettuchini alfredo, does that make
this question as ridiculous as it sounds?"

I'm glad you decided to join us. ^^ I'm Growly, btw. Did you come here
from another list or the savedisneyshows site? I'd like to know so I can
discover what the best way of getting word out of our cause is. ^_^

For those who aren't aware of Disney policy, the show Lilo and Stitch is
slated to be canceled after the airing of 65 episodes. Surely I can't be the
only one out there who thinks that 65 episodes just isn't enough. I love
the characters and the show, and I would love for the show to run 100
episodes, or even 626 episodes!
We're not alone in trying to abolish the 65 episode rule either - we have
some more people in our Ohana working to save other shows they enjoy,
such as Kim Possible. They have created a site for saving disney shows
from eventual demise and oblivion.
Please folks, lend your support. Visit www.savedisneyshows.org and let
people know that you care about the quality entertainment we've all
enjoyed.
