Dear All,

 

It gives me immense pleasure to present a Research Paper of Shri Dr S M Tadkodkar, titled 'Konkani Literature Today', which was presented to the prestigious 'Sahitya Academy' in October 2008.

 

The timing of this research paper couldn't have been sweeter, as news was out last week of the award of the 'Jnanpith Award' to Shri Padmabhushan Ravindra Rajaram Kelekar.

 

To understand how important a moment this is to the Konkani Language, it would be worthwhile to know that this is the FIRST TIME ever that the 'Jnanpith Award' has been given to a Konkani author.

 

Has Konkani Literature finally come of age !!! Well time will tell. The journey maybe has just begun. The future can only get brighter.
