What is SARTIAN?

South Asia Right to Information Advocates Network (SARTIAN) is an e-group hosted by CHRI. The purpose of the network is to promote regular interaction with each other across the region. SARTIAN develops relationships and solidarity among advocates, media, and civil society, through discussions, debates, and experience sharing.


What is CHRI?

The Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), based in New Delhi, India, facilitates the network. CHRI’s assists other organisations to develop effective Right to Information mechanisms in their own countries. CHRI catalyses the development of networks of concerned civil society organisations and seeks out the specific information needs of the people and communicates them to policy makers in various ways.
