South Asia Right to Information Advocates Network (SARTIAN) is an e-group. The purpose of the network is to promote regular interaction with each other across the region, build solidarity among networks of advocates from civil society and the media, and benefit from discussions, debates, experience, wisdom, and to give each other advice and support when we come across a stumbling block.
The Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), based in New Delhi, India, will take the role of facilitating the network. CHRI’s location and experience of India’s Right to Information Act and other international laws will enable the organisation to act as a motivational catalyst and to assist country-specific organisations to develop an effective mechanism for the realisation of their right to information.
We would like you to join, participate actively, and share your experiences on this network. We hope you will be able to use this platform to advocate for the right to information and help others to join you in this journey to have the right to information practically realised.
