The Saranaloka Foundation supports western Theravada nuns who practice in the Forest Tradition. Currently, the Foundation is focused on supporting Aloka Vihara in San Francisco and the two nuns in residence - Ayya Anandabodhi and Ayya Santacitta, who took bhikkhuni ordination in October 2011. The Saranaloka Foundation acts as the steward for their needs, providing financial support for the four requisites and travel expenses, teaching opportunities and personal retreats. The four requisites are food, health care, lodging and clothes. This list is an announcement only list to inform you about opportunities to sit retreats with them and visit or support their new monastic community.
