Welcome! This is an online support group for Christian homeschoolers in Santa Cruz County. Families of all Christian denominations are welcome as well as anyone respectful of the Christian nature of this group. One of the most valuable things about a support group is simply becoming aware of other like minded folks who are desiring fellowship. In an effort to facilitate "like minded" families, we advertise ourselves as a Christian group.
This group serves as a forum for posting impromptu activities, field trips and park gatherings. You will also find online support, announcements of events of interest to homeschoolers, a place for exchanging homeschool or other kids stuff locally and of course we always welcome prayer requests. On our calendar you'll find plenty of homeschool-friendly activities listed in order to make it easy to meet up with others from our group. Questions about learning resources and materials and inquiries to guage group members' interest in a possible activity are also encouraged.
This group also serves as an outreach tool, since the public may search on "Yahoo! Groups" for homeschooling support in Santa Cruz and be directed to the moderator for more information.
It is my hope and prayer that by sharing our talents, skills, interests and faith we will be able to offer greater opportunities to our children.
