The Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES) group for the City of Santa Clara, CA.

This is an amateur radio group that is concerned with and trains for providing emergency communications for The City of Santa Clara.

The purpose of this Yahoo! group is provide a place for those participating in the City of Santa Clara ARES/RACES to ask and answer questions pertaining both about emergency communications and about the many varied technical areas of ham radio such as what is a good antenna or what is a good first radio or how do I set up my TNC or what do I do with packet once I have it set up.
