If you are interested in JOINING our group, please read this page carefully or your request may be rejected.

Who we are: A grassroots friendship network of families homeschooling in and around the Santa Maria Valley.
What we are not: An institution providing programs and services.
Why are we public? Human kindness. Homeschoolers have to work hard to develop a community of peers, this is our version, and we are happy to share.

About us: We are both a supportive social group and an occasional learning enrichment co-op. We are open and secular. For our purposes this means people participate equally whatever their religious views are and we love to welcome new friends.

Smiling volunteers with ideas for parties, field trips or co-operative learning ventures or clubs are very welcome!

If you are homeschooling nearby, be sure and familiarize yourself with the other local groups. Visiting the other local group pages will help you decide what sort of group will meet your needs. The Links button at left will take you there.

IF you would like to participate in our group, you should email (the address below) to find out when we are gathering. Sorry but since we are friends we share personal info on our list and can't let you onto the mailing list until we know who you are, so please do INTRODUCE yourself by emailing the listowner.
