Dear members of the vamp community,

After 6 months of working on PathwayToDarkness.com (PTD) and mixing
it with
the Sanguinarium (the Sang) website, the Sang Council of Nine (SC)
has come
to a decision (with community feedback) to return PTD to it's
original
purpose as a vampire fan & community site, in the vision of it's
founder
Angie McKraig. The Sang Online will be separated and run
independently from
PTD.

The two websites have different audiences and we respect the needs of
two
separate sites like PTD and the Sang. The SC also is to the
understanding
that our philosophies are our own and are not always shared by the
entire
community, thus PTD needs to be diverse, serve and reflect the
interests of
the community as best as possible.

Through our sponsors Amazon.com, Vampire Wine, GothicRadio.com, the
Draculas
Ball, the Sanguinarium, the Endless Night Festival, Sabretooth,
Dreamhost.com
and others, our goal is to have PTD be a completely FREE site and for
all
ages. But as our daysides go and the expenses of running a website
with such
high bandwidth, the site will be funded completely by banner ads from
these
sponsors and donations.

Over the next week PTD is moving to a new and more affordable server
to help
lower costs. Once this is completed we will be accepting volunteers
from
those of the vamp community to help run PTD. This can truly be a
community
effort. This will not be an immediate change and should be an
evolutionary
effort.

Please free to give us your feedback, comments, suggestions, ideas
and input
on how we can improve the site after May 20th, 2002, when we get to
our new
servers. We will not be able to accept any emails at PTD until we
have
completed our move. There will be a notice on the homepages of
Sanguinarium.com and PathwayToDarkness.com.
