FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VAMPIRE-CON LAYS STAKE IN DRACULA THE UNDEAD, SEQUEL TO ORIGINAL CLASSIC
OFFICIALLY SANCTIONED BY THE BRAM STOKER ESTATE
Authors Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt Join The Panel Discussion "Why We Love
Vampires" On Sunday, August 16th

August 3, 2009, Hollywood, CA – The world's first convention devoted to
everything vampire has officially teamed up with Dracula author Bram Stoker's
estate. Dracula is arguably one of the most popular characters in fiction, the
first vampire horror novel and the inspiration for the current pop-culture
phenomenon. For the first time since the film adaptation starring Bela Lugosi in
1931, the Stoker estate has officially sanctioned a soon-to-be-released sequel
to the epic novel: Dracula The Undead, written by Bram's great grand-nephew
Dacre Stoker and screenwriter Ian Holt. Both authors will be joining the "Why We
Love Vampires: A Brief History of the Undead" panel discussion, scheduled for
11:00 AM on Sunday, August 16th at The Music Box Theatre @ Fonda.

Dracula The Un-Dead is the bone-chilling sequel based on Bram Stoker's own
handwritten notes for characters and plot threads excised from the original
edition. The story begins in 1912, twenty-five years after Dracula "crumbled
into dust." Van Helsing's protégé, Dr. Jack Seward, is now a disgraced morphine
addict obsessed with stamping out evil across Europe. Meanwhile, an unknowing
Quincey Harker, the grown son of Jonathan and Mina, leaves law school for the
London stage, only to stumble upon the troubled production of "Dracula,"
directed and produced by Bram Stoker himself. Dracula The Un-Dead is deeply
researched, rich in character, thrills and scares, and lovingly crafted as both
an extension and celebration of one of the most classic popular novels in
literature. The novel will be released on October 13, 2009 by Dutton. The book
has also spawned a major merchandising and licensing program represented by
LICENSEBOX, A Moda Entertainment Company.

Shannon Mulholland of Moda Entertainment states that "We see no limit to the
opportunities available by blending our knowledge of client estates with the
production and marketing capabilities of our partner Dogma Studios and we will
be launching multiple new projects together in the coming year."

"There is no greater excitement than to support like minded partners, such as
Moda Entertainment, Bram Stoker LLC, and Dracula the Undead LLC, who trust Dogma
Studios with the creative license to look inside, outside, and beyond current
market thought and practices," said Scott Schlichter, President of Dogma
Studios. "In teaming up Moda Entertainment with Vampire-Con, this is indeed a
partnership in which each party inspires the other, the ideal foundation for
achievement for our respective endeavors." Visit www.draculatheundead.com for
more information.

Vampire-Con, the first-of-its-kind convention has been covered in Newsweek, on
MSN.com and Fangoria.

Tickets are $15 for the Sunday day-walkers and $30 for Vampirella's Ball. A day
& night package deal can be purchased for $40 ($45 at The Music Box Theatre
door). Film festival admission is $7 per night. Stay tuned for updates about
