my site as I'd have liked to, but I've been busy doing other things
such as moving my domain to a new server, uploading files, configuring
scripts and trying to get everything to work again. I've made quit a
bit of progress, but I still have some things down or needing work. I

Jodi's killer 'loves taste of blood'

CONVICTED murderer Luke Mitchell has reportedly boasted of drinking
blood and worshipping the devil.

The teenager, who is serving a 20-year sentence for killing his
girlfriend Jodi Jones, allegedly wrote about being a vampire in
letters to a young penpal from his prison cell.

Teenage Girls from Richland Accused of Rape
Police say victim is a 14-year-old girl
JESSICA SWAIN, KVEW, WA - Mar 4, 2005

Benton County prosecutors are deciding whether to charge two teenage
girls with rape. Richland Police detectives say the 15 and 16-year-old
girls raped a 14-year-old girl a few weeks ago. Police say the three
girls met on the internet site vampirefreaks.com. The website is an
extreme goth site with links to buy vampire accessories. Police say
the teens also branded a letter "c" on the victim's arm. Police say
"c" is the initial of the older teenage girl.

'Vampire' guilty of molestation

An 18-year-old Salinas woman who claimed to be a vampire was convicted
Friday of molesting a younger girl by threatening to cast a spell over
her.

A Monterey County Superior Court jury in Salinas convicted Erin
Shatraw of one misdemeanor count of child molestation but acquitted
her on a felony sexual assault charge.

Prosecutor Gary Thelander said Shatraw convinced a 14-year-old family
acquaintance that she was a vampire and would cast a harmful spell on
her and her family unless she agreed to engage in sexual activity last
July. Shatraw was a friend of the girl's mother and had known the
younger girl for a decade.

SALINAS WOMAN CLAIMING TO BE VAMPIRE GUILTY OF MOLESTATION
KPIX-TV 5, CA - Mar 5, 2005

A Salinas woman who told her 14-year-old victim that she was a vampire
that could cast spells, has been convicted of misdemeanor child
molestation in a Monterey County court, the Monterey County District
Attorney's office announced.

A jury found 18-year-old Erin Shatraw guilty of molesting a
14-year-old girl that was a family friend for several years.

HALSEY -- A state panel is expected to investigate a high school coach
who acknowledged licking a student's wound.

The Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission decided to look
at the case after a parent complained that Central Linn High School
coach of Scott Reed's "repeated inappropriate behavior."

Ghoulish testimony in court
Fresno suspect's niece tells of biblical beliefs, fixation with vampires

FRESNO — Marcus Wesson believes he's Jesus Christ and has a
fascination with vampires, his niece testified Wednesday in Fresno
County Superior Court.

"Just as Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead, that's what
vampires do," Wesson preached, according to Sofina Solorio.

Wesson referred to himself as Je Vam Marc Sus Pire, which uses part of
his first name and the words Jesus and vampire, Solorio testified.

Wesson had a lair of vampire brides and concubines, made up of his
daughters and nieces, who gave birth to his children, Solorio testified.

most horrible murders. Micah White, of Kailua, who stabbed and burned
his mother and aunt, told psychiatrists that he thought they were
vampires. Sharon and Kerrie White were stabbed, dowsed with gasoline
and set on fire last April in their Kainui Road home.

Brothers and Sisters,

It was my great honor to join you this past weekend to mourn the
passing of our beloved friend D'Drennan. While D has shed his
physical form, his dark legacy, playful spirit and artistic vision
live on in each and every one of you that hold him close to your
undead heart!

Many of you have asked what you can do to help in the wake of D's
passing. As you may know, Suzi Miles (aka Madame Forsythia of the
House of St. Eve) has worked tirelessly to settle D's affairs in the
aftermath of his death. While many of D's debts were erased with his
passing, there remain several thousand dollars in bills extending from
his death and unpaid accounts for which Suzi and some other members of
The House of St. Eve are now responsible. D'Drennan's family, while
grateful for everything we have done to honor him, is not financially
able to pay these additional bills.

My friends, we can help shoulder this burden. Consider it a final act
of love and support for D'Drennan. We can help him settle these
affairs, now that he is gone.

Getting Vampires on ReligiousTolerance.Org

For the past few months I've been trying to get real vampyrism
included on a site called religioustolerance.org. This site is one of
the largest spiritual sites on the internet, and probably the largest
promoting tolerance. They have information on nearly every religious,
spirititual, and philisophical group that exists, except for real
vampyrism.

Religioustolerance.org has articles on religions ranging from from
Christianity to Asatru, Wicca, and Satanism. They also have a section
on other spiritual groups that aren't considered religions, which is
where I feel vampyrism should be included. This section has
information on beliefs such as agnosticism and even an article on the
goth culture.

I've written to them months ago, and they responded with a good deal
of interest saying that real vampyrism was "a likely candidate for an
article." However, they haven't responded to my more recent letters,
which makes me fear that they've lost interest. I feel that this is
an important goal to work towards, as it would be the first time
vampyrism would be included on an unbiased website whose subject
matter is general spiritual matters, rather then a site purely on
vampyrism.

Having real vampyrism on this site will be a big step towards
validating our beliefs to the public, and showing that our beliefs are
just as legitimate as any other group's. So I ask those who agree
that this is an important step for the vampyre community to go to
http://www.religioustolerance.org/ and write to them asking them to
include vampyrism on their site. I know that we are numerous, and
that we are serious about our beliefs; we just need to show that to them.

Official press release

Endless Night Productions (NYC, March 1st,, 2005) is proud to announce
the Endless Night Festival 2005 over Halloween in New Orleans,
production is on the way. We have grown to be one of the largest
gothic / dark Halloween events in North America. In 2005 we have some
VERY special plans in store for all of you. We are limiting the total
tickets to 999 weekend tickets and expanding to include 5 nights!
Truly making this event what it was envisioned to be in the world.

The current agenda is as follows, please note this is a tentative
agenda as we have yet to confirm all events beyond the Opening
Ceremonies, Fetish Ball and Vampyre Ball at Club 735.

WEEKEND AGENDA
(tentative, subject to change without notice)

DAY 1: Wednesday, October 26th
We begin with an intimate meet and greet at a local New Orleans
establishment.

DAY 2: Thursday, October 27th
This day will start off at noon with the Dark Bazaar which will
include artists, seminars & discussion circles (kulls), live music,
book signings, vendors and a nice "town square" for people to meet and
socialize. In the evening we will commence with the"Opening
Ceremonies" at Club 735.

Day 3: Friday, October 28th
The Dark Bazaar will continue from noon until early evening. The
evening will include a wonderful Fetish Ball with a host of performers
and a contingent of internationally renowned DJs at Club 735 until the
wee hours of the morning.

Day 4: Saturday, October 29th
We see the Dark Bazaar from noon until about 8pm and then moving off
into the evening with the New Orleans Vampyre Ball 2005 at Club 735
with live bands, performances and even more amazing DJs.

Day 5: Sunday, October 30th
We will conclude the big events of the weekend with the Dark Bazaar
during the day and the grande finale of a Grande Masque Ball (location
TBA). Tickets for the Grande Masque will be limited and will require
an additional charge.

We are also planning on having a Vampyre Wedding Chapel, Las Vegas
style for the weekend with ordained priests from the Synod pending on
the response. We are currently working out the details for the hotel,
locations for the Grande Masque Ball and the Dark Bazaar. Club 735 is
confirmed as our main venue for the weekend.

TICKETS

Tickets for the weekend will be $99 per person and include an Endless
Night pendant for admission to the Dark Bazaar, Opening Ceremonies,
the Fetish Ball and the Vampyre Ball. There will ONLY be 999 of these
made available as we would like this year to be more intimate and
close knit.

They are on sale on March 1st, 2005 through Paypal at the official
website. You will receive a printed certificate to pick up your EN
2005 pendant at the Dark Bazaar and the door of the club. Tickets for
the Sunday night are an additional 25$ and are ordered separately.
There will be a VERY limited of these VIP passes will be sold.

The Vampyre Lounge

"'The Vampyre Lounge' is a public access television show based out of
NYC. It is a project helmed by me, your humble servant Asif. The
primary purpose of 'The Vampyre Lounge' is to document the underground
Goth music scene here in NYC. The show features live performances by
bands such as The Curse, The Brides, Voltaire, Empire Hideous, etc.
Along with interviews and profiles of the band members.

Sanguinarius.org recently moved to a new domain hosting company, and
I've been busy transferring files, updating info, getting databases
set up and scripts reconfigured, and generally *trying* to get
everything working properly.

That means *drum roll* The Real Vampire Directory is back! :D The
downside of this is that it's been down for quite some time and
probably has a lot of outdated sites and broken links. And doesn't
include many of the newer real vampire & community sites out there.
That will change. I could use your help, though. -- If you have or
know of a site you'd like listed in The Real Vampire Directory,
please, please go to http://www.sanguinarius.org/links/ and submit it.
There's also a function that allows visitors to report dead links.

- I've given the Directory "facelift", which is most evident on the
main page.

- The Directory has all-new Rate-It code, plus the Rate It Box now
comes in 8 different color schemes for you to choose from. Check them

Webmasters/mistresses: You will need to get new code for your pages,
anyway, because the Directory is at a different url than it use to be,
so why not go and check out the new choices?

- I've slimmed down the Search box (webmasters/mistresses can add this
to their page to give their site the power to search The Real Vampire
Directory). This has new code, too, so if you already have a search
box on your site, you'll need to update the code because of the new URL.

- On the downside, I'm having trouble sending validation emails,
messages to link owners and the "New Links" newsletter. I'm not sure
why this is, but I'm checking into it. Hopefully, I can get this
resolved soon.

- I spent a good amount of time wading through all the links to find
sites that aren't there or have moved, etc. and updating as necessary.

- The State and Regional Groups Listing (previously at
http://www.sanguinarius.org/egroups.shtml ) has been moved into the
Directory. This should make it easier for everyone (including me) to
get sites to processed so they will appear in the Directory in a
timely manner.

- I've also given the categories quite an overhaul. Many categories
have been renamed and rearranged; there are many more top-level
categories which were previously buried within other categories and
harder to find. The current categories and descriptions are as

Terminology & Lingo ( http://www.sanguinarius.org/terminology.shtml )

Added a new term: Combo:
A vampire who is capable of feeding on blood as well as psi energy.
It seems to me that most real vampires are capable of feeding from
both, or using blood and psi interchangeably. Ex., "I am a psi/sang
combo." (Also, "Hybrid")

Added a new term: Neovampyre / Neovampire:
A person who is not a natural vampire, but who is a student of
vampyric/vampiric skills, philosophies and/or magicks; i.e., a person
who (for lack of a better word) "converted" to vampyrism.

Updated a term: Hybrid:
A vampire who is capable of feeding on blood as well as psi energy.
It seems to me that most real vampires are capable of feeding from
both, or using blood and psi interchangeably, so is the term "hybrid"
really necessary, or accurate? (See "Combo")

Updated a term: Mundane:
A term used to distinguish those who are not vampires from those who
are. This is, I feel, more accurate that "mortal" or "human", and
serves to distinguish those who are merely living normal, mundane
lives and unencumbered with the life of a vampire. (See the article
"Why We Use the Term 'Mundane'")

Updated a term: Twoof:
Experiencing an acute flare-up of symptoms generally involving a
change in the person's manner, breathing, pulse rate, and thought
patterns acompanied with an increase in sensitivity of senses. This
causes a person to seem more primal and animalistic.
