Hello, again, from Sangi-Land. It's time for the News at Night.

This month's crisis was when I tried to install a program, and when I
rebooted, Windows could not be loaded. I was offline for a few days,
but was eventually able to run the Windows Recovery Disk without
having to do a full format and reinstall (and lose literally
everything on my hard drive in the format). The only thing is, is
that all the programs are still *technically installed on the hard
drive and listed in the Start Menu, but Windows doesn't know they're
installed because their info is not written in the registry and where
ever else a program writes to when one installs it); some programs
work, others don't. I've been reinstalling them on an as-needed
basis, because I don't want to have to reinstall everything and then
end up turning around in a few weeks and doing it ALL over again once
I can get a new hard drive (my current drive is slowly going bad).

Call it the Vampire Effect. Scientists announced last week that they
have found a mysterious factor in blood that can give elderly bodies

Strange corpse has some muttering the word 'chupacabra'

Some New Mexicans say it's the weirdest thing they've ever seen: a
creature – and that's the best word to describe it – found on
Albuquerque's West Mesa.

To some, it's simply intriguing. To others, it's downright scary.
The creature belongs to Robert Wheeler.

"It was found out on the West Mesa," says Wheeler. "A friend of mine
was out there shooting and kicked it out of the dirt."

"It looks like a gargoyle" said Wheeler's friend Steve Garcia. "It
has these sponge-like lips."

Garcia and Wheeler say Hispanics seem most affected by the creature –
and what it might be.

Many say goth label doesn't paint the right picture

Jason Ramey grudgingly accepts being labeled a "goth."

At first glance, the 17-year-old Johnson City resident seems to fit
the general description of the gothic subculture. Ramey -- who likes
to call himself J'son -- dresses in all black, and sports black
eyeliner and red nail polish. He listens to heavy metal music.

Now a junior at Johnson City High School, he was removed from a class
in the eighth grade because he had too much makeup on.

Being considered a goth used to bother Ramey, who now considers
it "just a label." But it's a label fraught with stereotypes, many of
which are untrue, he said.

Crown ready to retry Johnathan case

TORONTO -- A date has been set for the next stage in the Johnathan
murder case in Toronto.

The Crown and defence met with a judge Friday morning and the case
was put over to March 16.

The Crown has no plans to alter the charges when it retries a
sensational murder case even though the first trial ended in a
mistrial over the possible perjury of its key witness, a senior
prosecutor said Thursday.

That would mean the three teens accused of killing a 12-year-old boy
in a case that featured tales of vampires and bloodsucking will again
have to face a potentially lengthy first-degree murder trial.

'Vamp' attack arrest

Police have arrested a man who is believed to have sparked an urban
vampire myth throughout Birmingham.

The man was wanted for biting three members of a family in
an "isolated incident" at Christmas before fleeing the scene.

The incident sparked fear of a crazed vampire on the loose and led to
a spate of reports of further random attacks in Alum Rock and Small
Heath.

Lord D'Drennan Dead

Lord D'Drennan committed suicide on Valentine's Day, 14 February.
The elders in New York City (a.k.a. Gotham) planned a memorial
service. A formal memorial ceremony and gathering was held Sunday,
February 27th at 28 East 23rd Street to create a peaceful sanctuary
where all manner of family expressed freely amongst one another. For

Dear friends and family of the vampyre/vampire community,

Today Father Vincent called me around 5pm EST to notify me of some
horrible news. Lord D'Drennan, the long time Regent of the Court of
Gotham and the legendary metal manipulator who gave us the aesthetic
inspiration of the first Legacy Ankh design passed away sometime on
this Sunday February 20th, 2005.

I do not have many details as of yet.

His most famous piece of art, the "Legacy Ankh" has set the standard
for the world wide vampyre community to design their own house ankhs.
He is also an outstanding leader, vampyre, brother, friend and
mentor. He will be remembered with love and passion as one of
the "founding fathers" of the Sanguinarium and vampyre community in
Gotham.

Please light a candle for him tonight to help send his soul on the
journey to the hereafter. No memorial service has been set, so please
be patient and await any news. Community leaders have been made aware
of this worldwide. His concort Lady Susie needs positive energy as
well as his dayside family.

Michelle Belanger informed Sanguinarius, "D'Drennan requested all his
art be destroyed as well. To me that's an even bigger tragedy -- it
erases him more completely than anything else could do." I inquired
whether this included the sanguine "Legacy" ankh of Sanguinarium
fame, and she said, "No -- things people already own are ok,
apparently. Just whatever was in his studio, unsold works, unfinished
works, etc."

DarkIceV Dead of Leukemia

There has been a recent rumor that DarkIceV was dead. I regret to
inform that this the rumor true. He passed on from leukemia on
January 14th. DarkIceV was a longtime member of the community and,
at one time, a regular and an Op in #Sanguinarius IRC channel on
dal.net. He went on to become an administrator on the ForeverChat
IRC network. He will be missed by many.

This is going to be a short post but an important one to me and Raven.

Last night I recieved a call from raven while I was visiting my
father. She called me to inform me that a friend of ours just passed
away from leukemia. I dont know if many of you know him but I want
him to be remembered

On-line he was known as DarkIce V his real name was Charles.

We had known that he was sick but thought that he was getting
better....obviously that was not the case. I wish I got to know
Charles better and will regret not doing so sooner. Raven and I had
planed to surprised him with a visit this summer. For the time that I
did know him, I got to know someone that had a good heart and was
someone you could call friend from the get go.

He was my friend.

A piece of me died last night with the lose of DarkIce V because i
love all my friends.

I hope and pray that he is remembered as fondly if not more fondly as
I remember him....I hope thouse of you that knew him...if even for
and instant remember him to. Dont let a good soul fade in the
obscurity of forgetfulness

This is to you Charles...may you have the peace and happyness in the
afterlife that you didnt in life...and if you come back to live a new
life, may it be one that a good soul like yours deserves.

State merges with religion: An arrest within the community

OcculticKerri writes "Recently a 'cult' was featured on local news
around the Central region of Alabama. Footage revealed a police raid
of the alledged 'satanic Gathering' and all of the altar equipment
was confiscated for further percecution of the 'perpetraters'. It
was a small house in Saint Clair County where a coven of Occultists
and vampires gathered on a regular basis for practition. The clan
head and 2 other 'criminals' were arrested. Ultimatly the police
could not find anything to charge them on except 'disturbing the
peace' when in reality they were a discreet and peaceful group of
people. A police officer was interviewed and spoke of how 'such
things should be against the law because satanism is wrong'. Nice to
see that Religious ignorance is still alive and well in Alabama."

Coral has become the epitome of everything I've ever wanted to be.

had. She is a true Elder in my opinion. No matter what, she is always
there.

This is why I am about to give [the group] to her.

Effective immediately I am resigning my position in the LHOE [Lost
House of Enki] and the Entire Vampire community. My life with Aliana
has suffered greatly this evening over all of this, and it will
suffer no more. I love this woman with all my heart and soul, and
