"Taboo: Blood Rites" to Air on National Geographic Channel
This summer, the producers of National Geographic Television, set out
to film a segment for the weekly program called "Taboo" that would
profile Sanguine Vampires in America. "Taboo" is a weekly program
that explores and seeks to understand unusual behavior that
conventional society might consider "taboo", and with the use of
respected anthropologists, provides an insight and observation on the
"taboo" practice shown. Their goal was to find individuals who would
be interested in sharing their experiences as sanguine vampires in the
interest of educating the public. Central to their goal was finding
someone who could debunk the sterotypes about who vampires really are,
someone who had a conventional lifestyle and apppearance with whom the
audience could relate.
The filming took place the first of June 2004, and the program, "Blood
Rites" airs Monday November 8th at 9:00pm and again at 12:00am EST.
And Saturday November 13th at 3:00PM EST
